Qualified meeting, event and incentive planners will experience the newly refurbished Sheraton Mirage Port Douglas at Sell TNQ on November 18-21.
Tourism Tropical North Queensland Director of Business and Tourism Events Rosie Douglas said the annual educational program was an exclusive opportunity for qualified meeting, event and incentive planners to experience the event capability of Tropical North Queensland.
“Planners will meet more than 30 business event suppliers during the day of workshops to learn more about the diverse capabilities of our region which caters equally well to large international association conferences as it does to bespoke incentive programs,” she said.
“Whether it is a conference for 3500 at the award-winning Cairns Convention Centre, a meeting at an international hotel in Cairns or Port Douglas or a gala dinner at a unique outdoor location, Tropical North Queensland has the venue to meet the needs of any event.
“Sell TNQ demonstrates the event capabilities of the destination by giving buyers the opportunity to experience our products and the region’s dual World Heritage areas of the Great Barrier Reef and the Wet Tropics Rainforest during the main and post touring programs.”
“Tropical North Queensland’s exciting local produce, Indigenous cultural heritage and unique wildlife also are showcased.
“Participants will enjoy an exciting program with networking opportunities, touring options and gala events showcasing the diversity of a region perfect for exceptional events.
“A Welcome Cocktail Function will be held under the rainforest canopy at Flames of the Forest and Ochre will cater the Gala Dinner on the waterfront at Port Douglas.
“The touring options are a trip to the Outer Great Barrier Reef, Low Isles or the Daintree Rainforest.
“Post touring options will be based in Cairns on November 21-23 and include Skyrail Rainforest Cableway, Tjapukai, Rainforestation Nature Park and Fitzroy Island.”
