Sell TNQ, the annual educational hosted by BEC & GBR, took place in November, with the main program itinerary set in Cairns, followed by post touring in Palm Cove and Port Douglas.
A total of 30 key event planners and trade media from Australia and New Zealand experienced a wide range of premium business events products, with highlights including a tropical welcome function at the Pullman Reef Hotel Casino Pool Deck, a dinner surrounded by wildlife at Rainforestation, and touring options including an outer reef trip, a day on Fitzroy Island, and a food trail of the Atherton Tablelands.
Workshops at the Shangri-La Hotel, The Marina Cairns allowed the delegates to meet with 36 local suppliers showcasing products ideal for conferences, gala dinners, team building and launches, with one happy delegate stating, “While Saturday is a huge day, I found merit in every appointment I had on that day. What always amazes me is that sometimes the person you least expect to have a product or service you can use, becomes one of the most valuable appointments”.
The 19 delegates who stayed on for the post touring program also experienced indigenous and wildlife activities, a sunset sail, and a cooking demonstration from an award-winning chef, in addition to a range of five-star accommodation and dining options in the region.
Feedback from delegates has been overwhelmingly positive while industry partners have been impressed with the quality of buyers and potential leads generated by the trade event.
