Day 1

Cairns to Port Douglas

Morning

Arrive into Cairns International Airport and feel enveloped in the tropical warmth the moment you step off the plane. Welcome to Cairns & the Great Barrier Reef – the only place on the planet where two World Heritage listed areas coexist side by side. Nestled between the Wet Tropics Rainforest and the Great Barrier Reef, this truly is the natural place to meet.



Afternoon

Head north along a spectacular coastal road as it winds its way along the Coral Sea. Stop in at Hartley’s Crocodile Adventures for an Aussie lunch at Lilies Restaurant, overlooking the lagoon where the resident crocs are basking in the sun or lazily swimming around. After lunch, cruise the waters on the lookout for these prehistoric creatures, polefeed a crocodile or cuddle fluffy koalas.

Evening

Continue your journey to the laid-back town of Port Douglas, a tropical oasis oozing sophistication set in a friendly village atmosphere. After you check into your hotel, enjoy a welcome dinner poolside. Let the gentle sounds of the ocean set the tone for a relaxed evening as you experience the fresh, local produce of the region.

Day 2

Port Douglas to Mossman

Morning

Located in the World Heritage listed Daintree National Park, the award-winning Mossman Gorge Centre is one of the few places in the country where visitors can unearth the secrets of Australia’s Indigenous population and experience their connection to the land. Join the custodians of the Mossman Gorge, the Kuku Yalanji community, for a traditional smoking ceremony and immerse yourself in their enchanting stories during the Dreamtime Walk. End your visit by perusing the art gallery or enjoying morning tea at Mayi Café.



Afternoon

Stop in for a gourmet lunch at Treehouse Restaurant at Silky Oaks Lodge. Relax on the treetop veranda next to the Mossman River and take a refreshing swim in the emerald green pools.



Evening

Your evening commences with bubbles and canapés on-board a luxurious sunset cruise, sailing along the iconic Four Mile Beach and watching the sun go down behind the Daintree mountain range. Once you are back on dry land, head down to Hemingway’s Brewery on the marina for beer tastings and live music. Top off the night with a progressive dinner showcasing a fusion of different flavours and cuisines from a selection of Port Douglas’ finest restaurants and gourmet establishments.

Optional Activities 

  • Glide through the rainforest canopy on a zip line in Cape Tribulation.
  • Head out to a secluded sand cay from Cape Tribulation and swim with turtles.
  • Go horse riding along Cape Tribulation for a peaceful escape from reality.

Day 3

Mossman to Port Douglas

Morning 

Today will take you to one of the seven natural wonders of the world. Experience the breathtaking beauty of the Great Barrier Reef and leave with memories of a lifetime. Try a helmet or scuba dive or a guided snorkel tour while you explore the underwater secrets of the world’s largest coral reef system. If you prefer to stay dry, view the reef from a semi-submersible submarine or an underwater viewing platform.



Afternoon

For those who want to get a bird’s eye view, take to the skies and gain a panoramic view of the Great Barrier Reef from above on a scenic helicopter flight, an unforgettable experience!

Evening

Set beneath the spectacular rainforest canopy, a candlelit trail takes you to Flames of the Forest for a mystical rainforest dinner. Enjoy a spectacular display of fire dancing as you make your way to a marquee sparkling with crystal chandeliers. Feel the wonder of this iconic venue as you enjoy a banquet of exotic local produce and let your surroundings set the tone for an enchanting evening.

Day 4

Port Douglas to Atherton



Morning

Start your day with a fitness class or an energising session of beach yoga, then hit the road for a day of gourmet delights on the Atherton Tablelands. With a cup of the region’s finest coffee in hand, take a tour of one of the coffee plantations located in Mareeba.



Afternoon

Your foodie fix begins at Bridges Bar & Restaurant located at Mt Uncle Distillery, the region’s first and only distillery. After lunch, walk off the calories on a walking tour of the distillery grounds and meet the resident alpacas, donkeys, goats and peacocks. Don’t head off without trying Mt Uncle Distillery’s award-winning spirits and liqueurs made from local produce. Hey, it’s 5pm somewhere! The food trail continues with cheese and chocolate from a working dairy farm or fresh scones and Devonshire tea at Lake Barrine Teahouse. Finish the tour on a fresh note with tropical produce straight from the growers’ paddocks at The Humpy.



Evening 

Celebrate your last evening in Port Douglas with an offsite dinner. Choose from a variety of themes and concepts such as a wildlife dinner, a sugar cane field extravaganza, a waterfront function at the Sugar Wharf or a feast under the palm trees at Rex Smeal Park. Keep the party going with a drink or two at a sophisticated seaside cocktail lounge or head to the main street and explore the vibrant nightlife this tropical town offers.

Day 5

Port Douglas to Cairns

Morning 

Enjoy a sumptuous breakfast at your hotel, followed by free time to sneak in some last-minute shopping. Check out the funky boutiques and art galleries of Macrossan Street or fit in a spa treatment before your transfer takes you to Cairns International Airport.

  • Ride a bike along Four Mile Beach.
