Screen Queensland Studios, Cairns brings the scale and production capabilities of a working film and television studio to business events in Tropical North Queensland. Located in Portsmith, just minutes from the Cairns CBD, the purpose-built complex provides a distinctive blank canvas for gala dinners, awards events, product launches, corporate functions and other large scale gatherings.

The studio includes dedicated event spaces alongside sound stages, construction areas and production facilities, giving planners scope to create an event environment around the space and production requirements. Event Space 1 provides 418sqm of flexible space, while Event Space 2 offers a further 247sqm. The larger studio and construction areas can also support event builds and customised installations, subject to availability and production requirements.

With high ceilings, extensive power, rigging points, in-house lighting infrastructure, audiovisual capabilities and air conditioning across the event and production spaces, Screen Queensland Studios provides the practical infrastructure for highly customised events. Up to 93 onsite car parks are also available.

The studio’s location in Portsmith places it within a short transfer of the Cairns CBD, while its working connection to Queensland’s screen industry adds an opportunity to build a creative or production led concept around the event. Screen Queensland Studios has also hosted community and industry events including Cairns Fashion Week and the Tourism Tropical North Queensland Awards.
