Rainforest Grotto is a private, blank canvas event space hidden among mature rainforest and cane fields just outside Port Douglas. Accessed by coach via a secluded path, the venue creates a sense of arrival before opening into an expansive outdoor clearing surrounded by tropical vegetation.

The space can be transformed for a range of business events, including gala dinners, cocktail functions, welcome events, incentive experiences and themed celebrations. With no permanent event infrastructure onsite, planners can bring in the furniture, lighting, catering, florals, entertainment and other production elements needed to create a tailored event environment.

Rainforest Grotto can accommodate up to 500 guests for seated events or 800 for cocktails. A marquee can also be arranged as a wet weather option, with a wet weather decision made 72 hours before the event.

Located approximately 7 kilometres from the centre of Port Douglas, the Rainforest Grotto offers a distinctly private alternative to conventional function venues. The surrounding rainforest, cane fields and secluded setting provide a natural backdrop for events that are designed around the destination.
